“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
‘You know you need to pray some more?’…this is the first realisation that hits you!
Staying in an environment where…Picture this- one or two persons have lied for a cover up. Of course lying seems justifiable in some cases…Hence the modification to terms such as- coding, omission, et al. There is no such thing anyway…a lie is a lie…but don’t judge just yet.
See Peter had been there, done that and came out stronger. Since the Scripture- ‘To the weak, became I as weak… (1 Corinthians 9:19-22)’ took it to a down to earth level, there has to be a further antidote.
When you have subtly judged others for their lies and one day you subconsciously are at the other end…What do you do then?
That is alright, but it becomes a spiritual warfare when you pick up the single act of omission for over a month. Then you need to do what Paul did…’I beat my body and bring it under subjection… (1 Corinthians 9:27)’
Not literal beating…definitely. Yes you told a lie and got judged by those you once judged…because you are ‘sanctimonious’ and no one expected it of you…but that has nothing to do with your discipleship.
It has everything to do with your ability to find the missing link and reconnect the dots…Your ability to recharge with the spirit of grace and supplication. Amen. The need to pray and be enabled with a whole lot of the Holy Ghost.
You see…’But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.’- Romans 8:11
It is a spiritual warfare and life or its environments should never allow you forget that…Rather, come into every environment with the full backing of the anointing that dissolves and backfires all negative influences!
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”- Ephesians 6:18
Moral of the write-up:
Lying is a classic example…There are other manifestations that constitute little foxes that spoil the vine.
Don’t judge anyone because they sin differently than you.
Most especially, don’t allow anyone judge you…It is Christ that died and He is perfecting all that concerns you.
Let the Holy Spirit overshadow you all the time, in order to subdue all influences not in accordance with God’s will for your life.
